Brass Stamping Parts for AC Contactors
We manufacture brass stamping parts for AC contactors and other low-voltage electrical switching devices. The parts are produced according to customer drawings and can be used as conductive supports, terminals, contact carriers and other formed components inside contactor assemblies.
For new projects, we can develop the stamping die according to the part structure, material thickness, dimensional tolerances and expected production quantity.
Our work covers not only the stamping operation itself. Depending on the component design, we can also coordinate forming, punching, bending and subsequent contact assembly processes.
Brass Grades We Work With
H62, H65 and H68 brass are commonly used for stamped electrical components. The suitable grade depends on the required forming depth, mechanical strength, conductivity and structure of the finished part.
H62 brass is widely used for general electrical stamping parts because it offers a practical balance of mechanical properties, formability and cost.
H65 brass provides good strength and plasticity and can be used where the stamped part requires further bending or forming after blanking.
H68 brass has good ductility and is suitable for parts involving more demanding cold forming or deeper drawing.
If a material grade has already been specified in your drawing, we manufacture according to that requirement rather than replacing it with a standard grade.
What We Can Stamp for AC Contactors
The brass component inside a contactor is not always a simple flat terminal. Depending on the electrical and mechanical layout, we can produce parts with different stamped and formed features.
Typical parts include:
- Fixed contact supports
- Moving contact carriers
- Conductive terminals
- Brass connecting pieces
- Bent contact brackets
- Riveted contact bases
- Stamped parts prepared for contact welding or riveting
Slots, holes, locating features, bends and formed sections can be incorporated into the stamping die according to the drawing.
For parts that later receive a silver contact rivet or contact sheet, the contact position and surrounding dimensions can also be controlled as part of the stamping process.
From Stamping Part to Electrical Contact Component
Because we also manufacture electrical contact materials and contact components, we can produce brass stampings that are designed for subsequent riveting or welding of electrical contacts.
This is particularly useful for AC contactor parts where a brass or copper-alloy carrier is combined with a silver alloy contact.
Depending on the design, the finished component may include:
Riveted contacts
- A contact rivet is mechanically assembled to a punched hole in the stamped brass part.
Welded contacts
- A silver alloy contact piece is welded to the designated contact area of the stamped carrier.
Formed conductive components
- The stamping part is supplied with the required holes, bends and locating structures for the customer's final contactor assembly.
This allows us to evaluate both the stamping geometry and the position where the electrical contact will later be assembled.
Custom Stamping Based on Your Drawing
Most AC contactor stamping parts are customized components rather than standard catalog items.
When we receive a drawing, we normally review the following information before preparing the tooling:
- Brass grade
- Material thickness
- Overall part dimensions
- Hole and slot dimensions
- Bending positions and angles
- Critical tolerances
- Surface treatment, if required
- Contact riveting or welding position
- Annual or batch quantity
For parts with several bending or forming steps, the process can be planned around stable mass production rather than producing the component as a series of separate manual operations.
Samples can also be reviewed together with drawings when an existing contactor component needs to be reproduced.
Stamping Parts for Electrical Switching Equipment
Although this product is developed for AC contactors, the same manufacturing capability can be used for brass and copper-alloy stamping parts found in other low-voltage electrical products.
These include relays, circuit breakers, switches, controllers and related electrical assemblies.
The actual material and stamping structure are determined by the finished component rather than by the equipment name alone.
If you are sourcing a new brass stamping part, send us the drawing, material grade, material thickness, required quantity and information about any riveting, welding or plating process. We can review the part structure and stamping feasibility before tooling.
