What is Electrical Contact Materials?

Electrical contact materials are used in relays, switches, contactors, circuit breakers and other electrical switching devices where stable conductivity, resistance to arc erosion and reliable contact life are required.

AgNi is widely used in relays, switches and general electrical contacts. It combines good electrical conductivity with stable mechanical properties and is suitable for many medium-load switching applications.

Available forms include contact rivets, wire and other custom contact components.

AgSnO2 is a cadmium-free electrical contact material used in relays, contactors, switches and other low-voltage electrical devices.

It is commonly selected for applications requiring good resistance to contact welding and arc erosion. AgSnO2 contacts can be produced as rivets, wire, sheet and composite structures.

AgCdO has been widely used in medium-load switching devices because of its stable electrical switching performance.

We supply AgCdO contact materials for applications where this material is still specified. AgSnO2 can also be evaluated for projects requiring a cadmium-free alternative.

Silver tungsten combines the electrical conductivity of silver with the high-temperature and arc-resistant properties of tungsten.

AgW contact materials are commonly used in applications with higher current, stronger arcing or demanding switching conditions.

Silver graphite contact material is mainly used in circuit breakers and electrical protection devices.

The graphite phase helps improve resistance to contact welding while maintaining stable electrical performance. AgC materials are commonly produced by powder metallurgy and extrusion processes.
