Electrical contact refers to the state where conductors are in contact with each other and can pass current. The specific structural types of electrical contacts in electrical systems and electrical components are varied.

The specific structural types of electrical contacts in electrical systems and electrical components are diverse, generally divided into three categories:

1. Fixed contact The two contact elements are in fixed contact with each other during working hours without relative movement or separation. For example, the brazed contact between the design contact and the contact bridge is permanent contact.

2. Rolling and sliding contact The two contact elements can perform relative rolling and sliding, but not separated from each other. For example, the roller contact of the circuit breaker, the slip ring and brush of the motor, and the pantograph and power line of the electric locomotive.

3. Separable and close contact The two contact elements can be separated or closed at any time. Such separable and closed contact elements are commonly referred to as contacts or contacts. This type of contact can be seen in all electrical appliances that use contacts to make and break circuits. The contact system designed this time is of this type.
